Thanks to the solid metal frame and a weight of 85 kg, the rectangular awning stands stable on the balcony, terrace or in the garden - without any drilling. (For regions with strong winds, there is also the option of screwing the frame to the balcony floor)

Modern designer awning SHANGRILA - free-standing, timeless, elegant & functional

The design of the awning is elegant and reduced to the essentials. Parasols and awnings have hardly changed in terms of design for years. A modern design is virtually impossible to find. The SHANGRILA sun canopy therefore stands out in particular. Due to the timeless shape, the awning looks modern. The rounded rectangular tubes made of stainless steel adapt to almost any outdoor environment.
The awning even finds its place on small terraces or balconies. The parasol is always an asset to the garden or terrace. The designer sail with its adjustable panels made of weatherproof acrylic fabric can remain outdoors all year round. The sun canopy can also be used in light rain.

Since the modern, roll-up sun sail has its own frame, the design sun sail can be flexibly set up in the garden, on the terrace, the roof terrace or the balcony without drilling. This saves assembly work and drill holes. In addition, the design awning can be easily transported and set up anywhere (e.g. when moving).

The SHANGRILA awning is offered in the standard size 3 x 3 meters with a height of 2.30 meters. This dimension is ideal for placing a large outdoor lounge underneath. There is also space for outdoor tables for up to 10 people. The roll-up sun sail for the terrace is currently available in beige, gray and red. Special colors are possible on request.

The materials used for the SHANGRILA terrace awning are all particularly durable. Stainless steel is practically indestructible. The frame is made of 40 x 20 millimeter thick rectangular tubes. The material of the sail has a wall thickness of 2 millimeters and is therefore very stable. The fabrics from Sunbrella® are market leaders in the segment of high-quality outdoor fabrics. There are no outdoor fabrics that are more durable. They have also been used in the high seas for many years.

Weight and packaging of the shade sail for the terrace and balcony

The SHANGRILA manually retractable sun canopy weighs 85 kilograms in the standard dimensions of 3 x 3 meters. It is delivered in a box with a length of 3.10 meters. Two people and a ladder are required for assembly. The first assembly takes about an hour. The retractable sun sail for the terrace can be dismantled or installed at a later date in around half an hour.

The SHANGRILA sun canopy has a stable position compared to the classic sunshade due to its runners running on the ground. The two lengths of fabric are guided in the frame, but not permanently fixed. You can therefore move when the wind comes up so that not the entire force of the wind is transferred to the frame.
If handled correctly, the parasol can remain open up to wind force 4 (moderate breeze, 20–28 km / h) or it can be attached to the upper round sheet metal using the retaining clips supplied. If the wind force is higher than 4, the fabrics must be rolled up and attached to the upper round sheet using the strap supplied. In stormy weather, like other umbrellas, the fabrics must be dismantled and safely stowed. The frame must be attached to the ground or a railing in a storm-proof manner. In the tubes (runners) running on the floor there are holes drilled in order to be able to additionally fix the sun canopy.

In contrast to the construction of an awning or the usual sun sails, no craftsmen and no masts are necessary. The awning can be easily set up on the balcony, on the roof terrace, the terrace or in the garden without drilling into walls and without foundations. The assembly of the SHANGRILA sun canopy takes about an hour. The assembly is done quickly with two people. Assembly instructions serve as instructions. You also need two stools or ladder frames for assembly.
